In 2013, I sat in a loan office—nervous, hopeful, and sure I was ready to buy my first home.

Then I was denied.

I had a job, paid my bills, and thought I was doing everything right. But my credit told a different story. I walked out of that office feeling confused, frustrated, and honestly...ashamed. Its only human to feel this way when no one teaches you to prepare to purchase a home and build a family.

Instead of giving up, I got to work. I studied the Fair Credit Reporting Act, the FDCPA, and the laws no one teaches you. I became a Certified FICO® Professional, licensed and bonded in California, and compliant with CROA. Within two years, I had turned my denial into a "yes"—and closed on my first home.

That experience didn’t just change my credit. It changed my life.

Friends and family began asking for help. I saw people just like me—hardworking, smart, and stuck in credit traps they never chose. That’s when I created Savvvy Resolutions—a team to make sure no one else has to go through it alone.
