Consumer Credit File Rights Under State and Federal Law

In compliance with the Credit Repair Organizations Act (CROA), Savvvy Resolutions LLC provides the following notice to all clients:

You Have the Right To:

  • Dispute inaccurate information in your credit report by contacting the credit bureau directly.

  • Obtain a copy of your credit report. You may be charged a reasonable fee unless:

You've been denied credit, employment, insurance, or housing in the past 60 days

You’re unemployed and job-hunting in the next 60 days

You’re receiving public assistanceYou believe your report contains fraud-related errors

  • Sue a credit repair organization that violates CROA. This law prohibits deceptive practices.

  • Cancel any contract with a credit repair organization within 3 business days of signing.




Important Notes:

Neither you nor any credit repair company can remove accurate, current, or verifiable information from your credit report.Negative but accurate information can only be removed after 7 years (or 10 years for bankruptcies).Credit bureaus must follow reasonable procedures to ensure accuracy, but mistakes may happen.




Disputing Your Credit Report:

You may write to a credit bureau if you believe information is incorrect.The bureau must:Reinvestigate the claimModify or remove inaccurate or incomplete informationDo this free of chargeIf the dispute is not resolved to your satisfaction, you may submit a written statement, which the credit bureau must include in future reports about you.
